About Us

About Us

CHICHESTER LUNCH CLUB
Promoting Peace of Mind

Who We Are

We are an independent Charity called the Chichester Area Mental Health Support Foundation (CAMHSF), Registration Number: 1161733. Our service is the Chichester Lunch Club delivered by qualified care professionals with over 35 years’ mental health experience. Our staff are strongly supported by a team of valued volunteers and our Board of Trustees.

What We Do

The Chichester Lunch Club is a friendly and supportive environment for adults, generally older people, living with mental health problems, dementia and mild cognitive impairment. We also welcome and offer respite for carers giving them the opportunity to shop or take a break while their loved ones are cared for in a safe environment.

Our club offers members a chance to chat, have a tasty lunch and enjoy a variety of fun activities in an informal social setting. We provide a monthly roast dinner and an annual canal trip. Activities include board games, cards, quizzes, pool, singing, art workshops and armchair dance – or simply a time to rest and chat.

As well as having the chance to socialise, we offer our members practical help and advice about the support networks available and how to access them.

When We Open

We are open every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 11.45am until 3.45pm.

What It Costs

We make a charge of £8.00 per session which is inclusive of all activities and refreshments.

What People Say About Us

Thank you for your kindness to Dad at the Chichester Lunch Club. It is a wonderful community resource and you must be very proud of it.

Carer

I was helped enormously by the inspirational team at the Chichester Lunch Club. They provided crucial one-to-one support and advice in the time leading up to my partner going in to residential care.

Carer

I can confidently place my clients with the club because it is such a happy place and when I visit to review progress, I know they will be content, with their wellbeing enhanced - it is a special place.

Mental Health Nurse

The Lunch Club was so important to my sister while she was able to stay in her house; she enjoyed the company and the friendship and, of course the lunch! I cannot thank you all enough, staff and volunteers, for the care, patience, enthusiasm, encouragement and love which you showed her. You are all brilliant!
